Causes of: The Russian Revolution
· The Russian Revolution was sought to be started by a “arbitrary, autocratic, and repressive Tsarist Social system.” In which started between the 16th and 18th Century’s.
· Because after Tsar Alexander II took power he created many reforms. In which were called the great reforms. But some people disagreed with the Tsar rule.
· But the Russian revolution of 1905 was a major cause/ influence on the February revolution of Russia on 1917. The event called bloody Sunday may have been known as an Irish event but the Russians had an event called this too. In which Nicholas II guards were fired on by the royal guard on the way to deliver a petition to him. This could have also been a factor that contributed to the Russian revolution.

weakness in Russia- they have been at war with many other countries and it weakened there army. And they were humiliated when they lost the war. So it lowered there confidence in themselves in turn causing disagreements.
World War I- This was the main factor of why Russia had a revolution. There army was poorly equipped with weapons and materials so they didn’t fight well. And it took 15 million men to fight in the war.
Tsar’s Mistakes- when Nicholas II left his wife in charge she let Rasputin run the government. And caused chaos in Russia. And since she was German rumors were going around that she wanted Germany to win the war.
Army Abandoned Tsar- on March, 8th 1917 riots in Russia. So many of his soldiers mutinied and left. So the government lost control of the country.
Duma abandoned the Tsar- on March 13th the Duma left and the citizens made a abdicate against him. Which meant the citizens wanted him overthrown.
